Split to Dubrovnik: coastal or inland route?

Coastal or inland: which Split to Dubrovnik route is faster?

We use the coastal route via Pelješac Bridge as the default. It is faster than the old Neum corridor for most trips. Our chauffeur picks the sensible option for season, traffic, and planned stops.

Dalmatian coast highway for Split to Dubrovnik private transfer route planning

Coastal highway and Pelješac

Most private transfers now use the mainland coastal road and Pelješac Bridge (opened July 2022), avoiding Bosnia border queues on the old Neum corridor. Expect about 3 to 3.5 hours driving time without long stops on a Split to Dubrovnik relocation.

When inland or border routes still matter

Some guests add Mostar or Ston oyster lunch stops, which use inland connectors. Each quote states planned stops so driving hours stay clear.
