What happens if we go over eight hours?

The published day is eight hours on the road. Extra time is quoted before we keep driving, not sprung at the kerb. If a park or cellar runs long, WhatsApp the desk and we price the overtime in writing.

Does the driver have to rest, and do we pay a second driver?

EU driving hours apply. Most coast weeks fit one chauffeur. If a route would break rest rules, we say so on the quote and price a second driver or an overnight instead of pretending the same person can drive all night.

Is there a km cap, and what about extra stops?

The day rate is for the hours, not a hidden km meter. Unreasonable detours get named on the quote. Extra stops you tell us about in advance sit in the fare. Surprise add-ons on the day get a written top-up first.

Do we tip, and is VAT on the quote?

Tipping is optional. The written fare states whether PDV is included. Ask for a VAT breakdown before you book if you need it for accounts.

Can you guarantee the same driver every day?

We keep the same chauffeur where the fleet allows. If someone is ill or legally out of hours, you get a named replacement, not a silent swap.

Is a private driver cheaper than renting a car in Croatia?

For one person, a rental can look cheaper until you add fuel, parking, and the ferry queue. For two or more, a chauffeur day often matches the real cost, and someone else holds the keys after wine.

Private driver vs taxi in Split or Dubrovnik?

A taxi is a single hop. A chauffeur day is a named car for the hours you booked, with waiting, ferry timing, and the same person at the next hotel.

How far ahead should we book a chauffeur in July?

Peak weeks fill. Two to four weeks is comfortable. A few days can still work outside festivals. Send dates anyway. If we are full, we say so.

Do you speak English, and can you do eight people?

Drivers work in English. Eight guests need a van or minibus, named on the quote. Child seats are free if you mention ages.

What if we need the driver to stay overnight in another town?

Driver overnight is €80 a night when the day exceeds a sensible return to base, or when you want an early start in the next town. It is a line on the quote, not a surprise hotel bill for you to guess.

Trogir and the airport shore

Trogir is a UNESCO old town on a tiny island, about 35 minutes west of Split past Kaštela and the airport. The car cannot sit on the marble square. You walk in. Krka National Park and Šibenik

Krka National Park is the closer waterfall day from Split, via Trogir and Šibenik to Skradin. Boardwalks and boat tickets inside the park stay yours. Šibenik cathedral can sit on the same chauffeur day if the hours hold. This is transport and waiting, not a guided park package.

Island and ferry transfers

Hvar, Brač, Vis, and Korčula

Dalmatian islands are boats, not roads. Hvar, Brač, Vis, and Korčula need a timed car to Split, Makarska, or Orebić, then a ticket you buy from Jadrolinija or the catamaran desk. Island-hopping logistics is a planning page. The fare is still a chauffeur day plus the quay buffer, never a bundled sailing.

Omiš, Makarska, and the Biokovo shore sit on the D8 between Split and the Pelješac Bridge. A relocation day can stop for a swim without turning into a sightseeing mash. Overnight chauffeur in Makarska is a quote line when the next morning is Ston or Dubrovnik.

Pelješac is Dingač, Postup, Ston walls, and the Orebić-Korčula ferry. The bridge changed the drive from Split. Cellar tasting fees are not in the chauffeur fare. Two or three wineries plus a Ston oyster stop fit a full day. Korčula Town is a boat the guest pays.

Zadar Airport, the old town peninsula, Nin salt flats, and Pag via the bridge. Quieter than Split for a first night. Pag cheese and Novalja are a bridge day, not a ferry. Southbound, Zadar to Split is a two-hour relocation with an optional Krka stop if the hours still fit.
