Overview
There is a direct motorway from Zagreb to Dubrovnik, and this is not it. Seven days takes you through Plitvice, down the coast through Split and Trogir, across into Bosnia for Mostar and Kravica, and back along the Pelješac peninsula to Dubrovnik. One vehicle, one driver, and the border day that most travellers remember longest.
The route, stop by stop
Zagreb to Plitvice
Start in the capital, then a day at Plitvice Lakes before continuing to Split.
Split and Trogir
Diocletian's Palace, then the UNESCO island town of Trogir.
Mostar and Kravica
Cross into Bosnia for Kravica Waterfalls and the Mostar old town.
Dubrovnik
The Pelješac coast and Ston on the way to Dubrovnik, then a free day and departure.
